1. SOFIA

SOFIA is an on going story about a band that travels into outer space. The time capsule was design to be filled with the fictional band’s memorabilia and merchandise. SOFIA tells the story of two personalities, that of SOFIA the AI and that of the band of the same name. The capsule contains both of these identities and seals them as one.

SOFIA (poster) — is 18 x 24 inch poster that uses 3D modeled imagery. The poster voices the identity of SOFIA the ai. It does this by exploring automation and prefabricated imagery. The imagery used is loosely stock with minor editing as oppose to its cassette counterpart. The poster also features AR video capabilities embedded in its images.

SOFIA (cassette) — is 2.75 x 4 inch standard cassette with a 6.5 x 2.75 inch cassette cover/ mini poster. This cassette is designed using custom 3D sculpted imagery. The cassette voices the identity of SOFIA the band. The cassette features a mix of audio recordings, and commentary. There are statements from the band featured inside the mini poster. The mini poster is also what the band members visually interpreted their space travel to be.
